Kate Burtonwood is Head Gardener at Trinity College, Oxford. She has a deep interest in sustainability and will talk about the challenges of introducing sustainable ideas in her current role, and raise some ideas of what we could be doing at home to focus on sustainable practices in gardening.

About The Event
Kate Burtonwood is gardener who trained in botanical horticulture at Oxford Botanic Garden and has worked in the Cotswolds and Oxford. She loves plants and natural environments, and talking to people. Her guilty secret is that she doesn’t enjoy growing veg. While not an expert, and with no formal study in sustainability, she has a genuine interest in this theme and tries to apply it in her work. She currently works as Head Gardener at Trinity College, Oxford.
She will talk about the challenges of introducing sustainable ideas in her current role, and raise some ideas of what we could be doing at home to focus on sustainable practices in gardening.
