The Terms and conditions of use

All users need to abide by the terms and conditions of this site.

OxCAN allows you to stay in touch with Oxford, current students and fellow alumni in regards to climate or sustainability related matters. For further information about OxCAN please see the About page.

In addition to these terms of use you are obliged to comply with the OxCAN Privacy notice and the following requirements:

  1. No part of this website or the information available upon it (including, without limitation, other Users’ email addresses) may be reproduced or stored in any other website or included in any public or private electronic retrieval system or service without OxCAN’s prior written permission.

  2. Other than personally identifiable information, which is covered under our Privacy notice, any material you transmit or post to the website shall be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. OxCAN shall have no obligations with respect to such material. OxCAN and its designees shall be free to copy, disclose, distribute, incorporate and otherwise use such material and all data, images, sounds, text and other things embodied therein for any and all commercial or non-commercial purposes.  

  3. You may not misuse the website (including, without limitation, by hacking).

OxCAN has not reviewed all of these third party websites and does not control and is not responsible for these websites or their content or availability.   5. Each registration is for a single user only. OxCAN does not permit you to share your name and alumni number with any other person nor with multiple users on  this network.

  8. You may not use the information provided on www.oxfordclimatealumni.com to engage in any type of marketing or commercial activity.

OxCAN is committed to providing an accessible web presence that gives members of the public and members of OxCAN access to climate-related information, and which gives OxCAN registered members secure access to be able to register for events, make donations and a range of other online activities. 

  12. OxCAN reserves the right to remove any information or User accounts or block access to OxCAN for an infringement of these terms of use.

  13. Any changes we may make to our terms and conditions of use in the future will be posted on this page. You should check the website from time to time to review the then current legal notice, because it is binding on you. Certain provisions of this notice may be superseded by expressly designated legal notices or terms located on particular pages of this website.

The Oxford Climate Alumni Network  is an autonomous group for alumni of the University interested in climate and sustainability  and operates independently of the University. Responsibility for this website and any and all activities associated with it are the full responsibility of the group and its organising committee. This website is not maintained, monitored, or in any way under the control of the University of Oxford.
