About The Event
“This report is a reality check”: IPCC WG1 Co-Chair Valérie Masson-Delmotte.
What is the current state of climate change, and what insights does the latest landmark IPCC report provide about likely futures? What implications do they have for developing our response to the climate crisis and on COP26 negotiations during this critical year?
In this flagship opening event for the year, OCRN (Oxford's Climate Research Network) and OCS (Oxford Climate Society) are delighted to be hosting a panel of IPCC authors to address those questions, and more. This is an opportunity to learn about the latest information that will form the foundation of climate developments over the coming years, directly from those most closely involved in synthesising the state of the field.
This event will bring together Oxford's community of climate-interested students, researchers, and the public - and is a great way to start the year by meeting others with similar interests, whether you're just learning about the climate issue or an established expert!
Please register via this Eventbrite for in-person attendance.
