About The Event
What is the UN’s Race to Zero campaign, how do we get there, and what are the obstacles?
If you would like to know more about the public policy challenge of our lifetimes from one of the world’s leading thinkers on the subject, then sign up for OxCAN’s exclusive address by Professor Thomas Hale.
As Oxford University’s Associate Professor in Public Policy, Dr Hale researches how political institutions evolve - or not - to meet the challenge of decarbonising the global economy.
Dr Hale will introduce his work with the UNFCCC on the Race to Zero criteria and how these are applied in organisations around the world.
OxCAN’s regional director in North America, Kaya Axelsson, provides more details around the Race to Zero criteria and thinking behind them.
OxCAN’s Global Climate Action Director, Fiona Tokple, then introduces our own Race to Zero campaign, and how alumni can get involved as Net Zero Champions or Experts.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions and to network with fellow members.
