About The Event

These informal sessions are a chance to get to know each other, share ideas and make connections. Each month we’ll break into groups to discuss a key topic, and will finish with a Q&A for any questions as we get started as a network.

July's topic will be "local net zero stories". We'll kick off with some updates from committee members involved in decarbonising their cities or organisations. They will share with you insights from their work to encourage you to think how you can be involved at a local level - whether as an individual or as an organisation. Short presentations from our speakers will be followed by a moderated discussion.

Speakers:

1) Ariane Crampton, Head of Climate Programme at Wiltshire Council

Ariane heads up the climate programme at Wiltshire Council, one of the largest local authorities in the country. It has an ambitious target to become carbon neutral by 2030 and is top of the Friends of the Earth league table for climate-friendly local authorities. Ariane has extensive local government experience at county, district and unitary levels and has worked in the not-for-profit sector.  Ariane has led organisational change programmes and is an Executive Coach.

Ariane became a Trustee of the Centre for Sustainable Energy in June 2014.

2) Olga Krylova, Sustainability and Marketing Manager in energy/metals and mining (private sector)

Olga is a dedicated professional with 10 years of track record in managing partnerships and implementing projects and programmes for international organizations and private sector. Holds Master of Science in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford.  Olga works at the interface of sustainability and marketing to promote low-carbon and circularity transitions throughout the entire supply chain.

We are really looking forward to meeting you.
